Keepsporting Solidarity - Brazil: Clã Delfos Association

In 1983, a group of athletes and teachers led by professor Mauro Roberto Fonseca França, with the aim of strengthening athletics in Minas Gerais, decided to found the Clã Delfos (Delphi Clan) which, through its competitions, included the practice of three Olympic modalities: Athletics, Cycling, and Handball.

The name comes from Ireland (Clan) and ancient Greece (Delphi): clan means a group of people fighting for a common ideal, Delphi is a place in Classical Greece with spiritual and sporting value for connoisseurs of this ancient culture.

The initial objectives of the Delphi Clan were to support, encourage, and give students the opportunity to practice sports.

The administrative headquarters of Clã Delfos is located in the municipality of Sete Lagoas, but it operates with sports centers in several cities in Minas Gerais.

The performance of this team over all these years has generated notable results both at the state and national level.

But the activity of the Delphi Clan does not end with pure sporting activity; the club constantly supports its athletes through solidarity actions, especially in these difficult times.

Keepsporting thinks that Clã Delfos does a very important job for the youth of Minas Gerais, so it supports their projects.
