The advantages of running in a group
Besides being a great activity for health, running practice is increasingly sought after by beginners and amateur athletes. To train, all you need is a pair of trainers (sneakers) and to join a team. Training, besides being good for you and reducing many health risks, helps you meet many friends who encourage you to achieve your goals.
The purpose of this post is to list 7 advantages you have in regularly carrying out group workouts (whether walking or running). Who knows, maybe after finishing this reading you will already join a team? Let's go!
1. OVERCOMING CHALLENGES
Over time, you will automatically overcome your own challenges, whether the goal is to increase the distance covered or to decrease the travel time. You will prove to yourself that you succeeded and gain more confidence and motivation to undertake increasingly bigger challenges!
2. EXPANDING YOUR CIRCLE OF FRIENDS
Training alone is already good; imagine doing it in a group? One person encourages the other, you share knowledge and experiences, you expand your circle of friends, you talk about things in common, and sometimes, you come across a friend who gives you great encouragement! Go on, send a message to your friends writing: 'There's training today, raise your hand who's coming!
3. SUPPORT FROM THOSE WHO ARE EXPERT ON THE MATTER
To train, you need the help of someone who understands the subject, so it is important that you are part of a team, as you have experienced people who can help you from the beginning of the practice and then follow you on your journey. Usually, groups train during the week: in the morning before breakfast, or in the evening after work. Many leave work, put on trainers (sneakers) and comfortable clothes, and go to train. Weekends are usually reserved for running races, but nothing prevents some teams from training.
4. DISCIPLINE
It's useless to have a large circle of friends and people who are experts on the subject if you don't have discipline. Set a monthly goal for participation in training sessions, and if possible, attend all of them. Studies say that if you carry out an activity consecutively for 21 days, it becomes a habit. And we must always strive to acquire new healthy habits.
5. SAFETY
Training in a group gives you safety, not only for the workout itself but also in relation to the place where you go running or walking. Don't train alone, choose to do it as a team, because your safety is very important!
6. MOTIVATION
What is motivation? It refers to the condition of the organism that influences the direction of behavior. In other words, it is the inner impulse that drives action. Training motivation comes from within you according to your goal, but by training with a team, you will be even more motivated, being among people who share your same goal.
